PAYMENT PROCESSING

Know your costs.
Understand your options.

A clear explanation of your processing statement is a better starting point than a headline rate.

Review My Processing Costs

A pricing approach that fits your business.

Dual pricing

Offer clearly disclosed cash and card prices. We’ll discuss customer expectations, checkout implementation, and whether the program suits your business. Cost offsets depend on your transactions and program setup.

Interchange-plus

See interchange and card-brand charges alongside your processor’s markup. Your total cost varies with card type, payment method, transaction mix, and the terms of your agreement.

Statement review

Look beyond a quoted rate. Review recurring charges, transaction fees, equipment costs, contract terms, and the questions your provider should answer.

Pricing programs require eligibility and underwriting and must follow applicable law, card-brand rules, and required disclosures. Savings are not guaranteed. Dual pricing and credit-card surcharging have different requirements; debit cards must not be surcharged.

BEYOND “WHAT’S MY RATE?”

What does your
whole setup cost?

We’ll talk about your typical ticket, higher-ticket sales, card mix, and how you accept payments. A fair comparison includes service, equipment, and agreement terms.

  • Separate processing charges from deposit adjustments.
  • Ask what unfamiliar recurring fees represent.
  • Compare equivalent volume and transaction methods.
  • Consider operational fit alongside cost.
